Albert Einstein said “Scientists investigate that which already is; Engineers create that which has never been ”. With this backdrop, I take this opportunity to welcome every visitor on our web portal and in our happening campus. With lush green 24 acres of sprawling environs away from the hustle- bustle and traffic jams, MMEC is located in a serene environment conducive to learning. With an objective of the President Smt. Rajshree Nagaraju and members of Maratha Mandal Group of Institutions of bringing in an “ ENGINEERING REVOLUTION” in the campus, we have geared up to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) that will make the student employable and skilled. With our primary focus on ‘Engaging and Meaningful’ teaching, we expect innovations and research to happen as a byproduct. Without a good foundation in engineering, application of mind fails.
The institute, in accordance with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and AICTE norms will endeavor to implement all their educational initiatives. We are proud to be part of VTU that has an All India NIRF ranking of 57 (2021. With the latest syllabus designed by the BOS members and approved by the VTU, Choice Based Credit System will help the engineers to make their mark in the world of Engineering. The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) is an educational model that offers students to opt for courses & subjects of their choice – core, elective courses, open or global electives & skill-based courses. Unlike the traditional marking-based system, the CBCS grading pattern is based on earned credits every semester.
To support this, the MMEC has mammoth infrastructure with the required facilities. I will abstain from writing the details but with conviction say “You ought to visit the campus to have a feel”. Pedagogy and mentoring are the pillars of any education system. We do this religiously. As a parent, I had expected the same for my children, so I know very well, what the parents care for, and I take their place in the campus to ensure all the children get the best. Our senior faculty have an average experience in the same campus of more than 15 years, so rest assured about the learning process.
You would agree with me that for good medical facilities and also good food we drive any distance and reach any place. We also know that, after passing engineering, we need to travel hours to our workplace to be in a job. Nothing of QUALITY need necessarily come besides your home or in your neighborhood. We also know that for basic education, rural students walk a few miles in the jungles to reach the school.. These things teach the student tolerance, team work, perseverance, resilience and makes them tough!. The ability to informally interact with people during their bus drive to the campus….(that is nothing less than ecstatic abode of education and a hub for personality development) makes the students bold and brave. We welcome students to be part of this “Engineering Revolution” in Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science Engineering. To top it all, the institute has started with new course that is known as the Emerging Technology by the Industry:
- Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
With trending choices, the mother of all core engineering branches “ Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication ” is “Inevitable Engineering”, that is supported by “In vogue engineering”-Computer Science. Students may choose any branch of their passion. Multidisciplinary Engineering is the order of the day. We at MMEC, promote the Multidisciplinary Projects, Research work and Innovations that makes learning and application an engaging and intellectually intoxicating activity.
Sports, Cultural evenings, Music band, Fashion shows, Debates, Social events, competitions, various National & International days, Fundays and that “Masti Bhara student life” allows the confluence of academic excellence with Personal development on campus.
